Artwork description

Wings to the Shore is a limited edition seagull coastal art print by Australian artist Carmen Delprat, reproduced from her original 2025 oil painting. It explores the quiet interval between immersion and return, a moment suspended between sea and land.

A triangular formation of seagulls moves across the foreground, their wings guiding the eye toward shore. The gesture is subtle yet directional, suggesting movement without urgency: instinct within stillness.

Behind them, monumental rock formations rise with enduring presence. Their surfaces, shaped by time and tide, carry a quiet gravity, anchoring the composition in permanence and memory.

Above, vast cloud formations stretch across a luminous blue sky. Light moves through the atmosphere with tension and openness, suggesting transition without declaring it.

Created through layered oil glazing, the original painting balances motion and solidity: air and stone, instinct and endurance. The composition draws the viewer gradually inward, revealing depth through tone, light and spatial rhythm.

Wings to the Shore is designed for interiors seeking both calm and quiet strength, a work that holds presence while allowing space to breathe.
