The Ocean Baths ~ Newcastle Baths Portrait Limited Edition Art Print

The Ocean Baths ~ Newcastle Baths Portrait Limited Edition Art Print
Hand-Signed, Limited Collector Canvas & Studio Editions
Oil Painting

Artwork Description

The Ocean Baths is a limited edition portrait print by Australian artist Carmen Delprat, reproduced from her original surreal oil painting of the Newcastle Ocean Baths. It is a memorial tribute to her late grandmother, Mercia Delprat, who was renowned for her adventurous spirit and energy.

Mercia poses outside the front of the Ocean Baths, looking back at the viewer, immersed in reflective water that is surreally placed on the wrong side of the building. The Art Deco facade of the baths is painted in its traditional form, with a beam of sunlight emphasising the portrait as the focal point.
