Curls of the Abyss started with a fascination for the Triton’s Trumpet shell and grew into something deeper. It’s about transformation — the quiet, personal kind that unfolds beneath the surface.
The shell’s spiral is a metaphor for growth: turning inward to reflect, then unfurling to start again. Shells have always symbolised protection and renewal, which is why they’re so powerful in art — they bring a sense of calm and balance.
The colours — deep jade, golden browns and subtle crimson — evoke richness and vitality, creating an energy that stirs and nurtures the space around it. This piece is designed to make a statement, to become a focal point in any room. If you prefer a more subtle touch, grouping smaller works can create just as much impact.
