So, what’s The Shellkeeper’s Vision all about?
When I drew this piece, I was thinking about that quiet space we all carry inside us — where the past, present and future seem to swirl together. The girl’s gaze is steady and present, but there's something in her expression that hints at memories… and maybe even dreams. Her flowing, slightly soft flowing yet slightly messy hair? That’s deliberate — it mirrors the untamed nature of time and emotion.
You’ll notice the two shells beside her face — one spirals to the left, the other to the right. To me, they’re like anchors in time: one for where we’ve been, and one for where we’re going. But the focus remains here, in the now — in stillness. That’s the heart of this work: staying present, even when life pulls us in all directions.
I’ve always been fascinated by the Fibonacci spirals in nature — they’re hidden blueprints of harmony and growth. That’s what inspired the golden swirls around her head. They echo ocean waves, thought patterns and cosmic rhythms. They’re a reminder that we’re all part of something much bigger and that there’s beauty in those cycles.
The soft blues and greens are calming on purpose — I wanted the whole scene to feel like an exhale. A pause. A visual meditation.
The Shellkeeper’s Vision is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and reconnect — not just with nature, but with your own sense of time and stillness. It’s about finding peace in the in-between moments.
So, when was the last time you truly paused… and listened to the quiet rhythm of your own inner tide?
