The multidimensional world around us has been a conceptual cornerstone for most of my career as a figurative and landscape artist. I am fascinated not only by the external visible appearance, but also the invisible vibrations that delicately radiate outwards and slightly touch our experiences. The local coastline of Dudley Beach is a place I find a welcoming retreat and it feels like my own private Idaho. On one occasion I took several photos to try an capture the atmosphere of the clouds and the deep blue ocean. I was compelled to paint the landscape. Working intuitively, the painting took its own direction the the organic twisted lines became increasingly more intertwined and dynamic, creating an atmosphere of renewal and vitality. 
 
 This oil painting is a symbolic interpretation of the energetic flow of time, the continious movement of the tides and the engulfing rain clouds that circlulate the flow of water from sea to air back to land, the rivers and our ocean with an unexpected twist on the horizon.
