The Ocean & The Subconscious
Transformation is a central theme throughout my work. The natural world constantly changes through cycles of growth, decay, renewal, and rebirth, mirroring the human experience.
Through layered imagery and symbolic elements, I explore how time reshapes both landscapes and inner worlds. Moments are not fixed; they evolve, overlap, and leave traces behind. My paintings seek to capture this continual process of becoming, where change is not an ending but a pathway to new possibilities.
The Ocean & the Subconscious
The ocean has long served as a symbol of the subconscious—a vast and mysterious realm that lies beneath the surface of conscious awareness. Like the sea itself, the inner world contains hidden depths, shifting currents, forgotten memories, dreams, and emotions that quietly influence our lives.
Within my surrealist work, the ocean becomes a metaphor for this unseen landscape. Its horizons suggest the threshold between the known and the unknown, while its depths invite exploration into the symbolic and intuitive aspects of human experience. Shells, tides, and dreamlike forms emerge as visual echoes of thoughts and feelings that exist beyond ordinary perception.

The sea also reflects the concept of the collective unconscious, where universal symbols and archetypes connect individual experience to something greater than ourselves. Through these images, I seek to create contemplative spaces where viewers can encounter their own inner narratives and discover personal meaning within the symbolic language of the work.

The subconscious is not something separate from everyday life. It flows beneath our thoughts, shapes our imagination, and reveals itself through dreams, intuition, and creativity. Like the ocean, it remains both familiar and unknowable—a source of mystery, transformation, and endless possibility.
