The Golden Hour
The Golden Hour captures the brief atmospheric transition between day and night — a moment where light softens and forms dissolve into one another.
At the centre of the composition, a luminous sun emerges from within a protective shell form, suggesting containment, renewal and natural cycles of light. The gesture is symbolic without being literal, allowing space for quiet interpretation.
A pelican moves through the composition with fluid, balanced presence, its form connecting sea and sky through gentle motion and composure. The figure introduces rhythm to the scene without disrupting its stillness.
Flowing lines and organic shapes guide the viewer’s eye through the work, creating visual softness and atmospheric depth. Layered oil glazing allows light to move subtly across the surface, giving the painting an inner luminosity that shifts with changing light conditions.
The Golden Hour is designed for interiors seeking warmth, balance and quiet visual presence — a contemplative work intended for long-term living spaces.
