This large pencil illustration is a product of pure joy for parrots and especially blue ones.  The artwork originated by playing around with an image of a parrot and one of my illustrations of a curly tree using PhotoShop. I merged the two images together until I was satisfied with the way the curls connected with the parrot. The image was use as a starting point to draw and extend my ideas. The symbolism of parrots suggest long life and freedom. Parrots reflect to us the immense power of our mind. To take care of the words you speak and the secret thoughts you carry. Parrot symbolism is a reminder to be true to yourself and communicate that which you really feel.
